The elephant on the front mudguard is the formation sign of PAIF sometimes referred to as PAIC or Paiforce, Persia and Iraq command. So the bike could have been in Mesopotamia, or someone may have just decided to paint the bike in those colours for reasons unknown.

The brass plate on the toolbox dated 1956 does not belong on the bike, and is probably off a small truck.

The frame number of 64025 comes from the end of the first contract number for 1943 C2604 the frame numbers for this contract ran from 57070 to 64069. The C number on the petrol tank does not make any sense.

The engine number of 94260 is from the 1944 contract number C6150 engine numbers for this contract ran from 90000 to 96088
