The engine and gearbox were completely re-built by Roger Sharman of Cake Street Classics https://www.facebook.com/people/Cake-Street-Classics/100057683850380/ in 2008 to Road Rocket specification, so 356 Spitfire cams, head, big valves, 4 spring clutch, etc. Big journal crank, thick flange barrel. The rolling chassis is A10 with a number of important upgrades to make it a very reliable and rideable Classic on today's roads.

The front brake is a full width twin leader, from a later Triumph.
Taper roller head bearings fitted.
The Magneto was reconditioned by The Magneto Guys https://www.themagnetoguys.co.uk
New Monobloc carb, correctly jetted for modern fuel.
The charging system is an Alton Alternator, driven 20% faster than standard by their improved belt and pullies . This charges a modern 12v battery through a regulator/rectifier. The LED pilot light is a bright daytime running light.QH headlight is much brighter than original.
Tyres are period looking but new Dunlop K70s on stainless rims and spokes.
The Chronometric speedo has just been professionally restored. http://www.speedorepairs.co.uk

The bike has a current DVLA V5C registration document, is registered in the 'Historic Vehicle' class, so no Tax, is MOT exempt and is cheap to insure. Also it is ULEZ (Ultra Low Emission Zone) compliant.
