Description
1954 Triton Pre - Unit 750cc Cafe Racer. Newly built, top spec Triton Built with Norton wide line featherbed frame, 1955 Pre - Unit Triumph 6T thunderbird engine with Twin Carbs and 750cc Morgo conversion.
A fortune spent on an engine rebuild some years back (photos and receipts for around £6000+ ) includes billet con rods. Since when it has done only around 400/500 miles. It was fitted with 750 barrels, Manx forks and steering head yoke, John Tickle twin leading shoe front brake, all new internals, new carburettors, a remote oil filter (it runs on modern synthetic oil) and a five speed gear cluster was fitted. The tank was hand made by a guy in Oxfordshire who used to do fabrications for Benneton F1 racing many years ago. The rims and tyres are new. This list represents just some of the work undertaken on this bike.
Previous owners notes: the engine rebuild was completed on the 12th November 2011 with 1125 miles on the speedo. It is currently showing 2431 miles. The gearbox was rebuilt as a 5 speed and completed on the 4th July 2011 at 1946 miles. It’s all very new in mileage terms. I had a 20 tooth gearbox sprocket fitted in May 2012 to reduce the engine RPM at speed. If my memory serves me well a road speed of 70 MPH equated to under 2500 RPM. Nice and relaxed.
This must be one of the highest spec tritons on the market. Comes with photos of the build and a big file of receipts confirming work carried out and parts bought!
